Morris Plains is a residential borough in the central part of Morris County, New Jersey. The small town is situated west of Hanover and north of Morristown which includes various residential neighborhoods along with the Mountain Way Nature Preserve. The borough serves primarily as a bedroom community with over 2,000 households, and home to 5,581 people. Central Park that is located in the southwestern end of the borough features lovely picnic areas, pet-friendly facilities, walking trails, and various sports fields. Mountain Way in the northwestern part of town provides a nearby escape where you can go hiking on different nature trails around the forested nature preserve.
