Westfield is a town located in Union County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, Westfield’s population was 30,316. Westfield was first settled in 1669 and originally incorporated as a borough on January 27, 1794, from portions of Elizabeth Township. It was reincorporated as Westfield Town on March 11, 1898. On March 4, 1913, Westfield Borough and Westfield Town were merged and incorporated as the City of Westfield. According to the town’s website, the City of Westfield became fully electric in 1914. Westfield is home to a cute downtown area with unique shops and restaurants. The town is also home to Mindowaskin Park, which offers residents a place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
